Step-by-Step Process to Fill CLAT 2026 Application Form

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

  • Go to: https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in

  • On the homepage, click CLAT 2026.

  • Click on “Register” to begin.

  • Make sure to use an active email ID and mobile number. All future communications (admit card, result, counselling) will be sent here.


Step 2: Register as a New User

You need to enter:

  • Full Name (as per 10th marksheet)

  • Mobile Number

  • Email ID

  • Create a secure password

After clicking “Register”, you will receive an OTP on your phone or email. Enter it to verify.


Step 3: Login to Access Application Form

  • Use your mobile number and password to log in.

  • Click on “Fill Application Form” from the dashboard.


Step 4: Enter Personal Information

Fill in the following details carefully:

  • Candidate’s Full Name

  • Father’s and Mother’s Name

  • Gender

  • Date of Birth

  • Nationality

  • Category (General/SC/ST/OBC/EWS)

  • Person with Disability (Yes/No)

  • Domicile State

Match the name and DOB with your Class 10 certificate exactly.


Step 5: Fill Contact Details

Enter:

  • Full residential address

  • District, State, and PIN code

  • Mobile number

  • Email address

  • Emergency contact (optional)

Avoid typos. Future communication depends on this data.


Step 6: Academic Qualification Details

For UG Aspirants:

  • Class 10: Board, Year of Passing, Marks/Grade

  • Class 12: Same details (choose “Appearing” if not yet passed)

For PG Aspirants:

  • Details of LLB degree and university


Step 7: Upload Scanned Documents

Here’s what you need:

Your photograph should be recent, coloured, with a light background.
Your signature should be on white paper with black ink.


Step 8: Select Test Centre Preferences

  • Choose 3 cities in order of preference. (Choose cities close to your location. You can’t change them later.)

  • Centers will be allotted based on availability.


Step 9: Select NLUs and Reservation Quotas

  • Tick the NLUs you want to apply to.

  • If applicable, claim reservation under State/Category/Domicile quota as per each NLU’s policy.

Download the seat matrix or consult your online CLAT coaching mentor to choose wisely.


Step 10: Preview the Application Form

Carefully review the entire form:

  • Spelling errors

  • Date of birth

  • Uploaded documents

  • Reservation details

Click “Edit” if anything is wrong. Do not submit until every detail is verified.


Step 11: Pay the Application Fee

Use Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI to make the payment.

Step 12: Final Submission and Print Confirmation

  • Click on “Submit”.

  • Download the confirmation page.
